at the same time each day, in a consistent manner, or two times per day.

NOBATOL should be administered at an initial dose of 2.5-3.0 mg/kg every 12 hours, increasing incrementally as needed to control seizures.

Tablets can be divided in half to ensure accurate dosing.

High plasma concentrations may be associated with hepatotoxicity; blood samples should be taken while increasing dosage to monitor plasma concentration and potential toxicity to the animal.

Recommendations for Treatment with NOBATOL
- The decision to start treatment with NOBATOL should be evaluated for each individual case and depends on number, frequency, duration, and severity of seizures in the dog.
- Assess the clinical pathology of the animal 2-3 weeks after the start of treatment and every 4-6 months thereafter.
- Monitoring should include measurements of hepatic enzymes and serum bile acids, as well as liver function tests.
Palatability & Compliance
Palatability &
Compliance

For canine medications, it is assumed that many instances of treatment failure can be attributed to poor compliance.1 Sources of poor tolerability or inconvenience include the need to force a pill down the animal’s throat or consistently hide the pill in cheese or other food due to poor palatability—factors which may create hardship for the owner and damage the relationship with the pet.
